Bucharest Breaks World Record For Longest Line of Pizzas

Romania’s capital city Bucharest has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records on Saturday with the world’s longest line of pizzas, consisting of over 2,200 pizzas and measuring 496.97 meters, according to a press release of event organizers, Bucharest Food Festival.

Bucharest Breaks World Record For Longest Line of Pizzas

Guinness Book representative on Saturday confirmed the second world record proposed by Bucharest Food Festival and successfully achieved by a chain of pizza restaurants and a ketchup producer.

Over 2,200 pizzas were lined up on tables arranged in 14 rows by nearly 100 volunteers. Everybody involved in the process, including the Guinness Book representative, strictly observed hygiene norms and wore single-use gloves.

Nearly 90% of pizzas were donated to orphanages and elderly care homes, while 10% of pizzas were served to the people attending the third day of the Bucharest Food Festival.
