Romania’s Ambassador To Saudi Arabia Dies Of Heart Failure

Romania’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ion Dobreci died Friday of a heart attack, the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry said Saturday. He was 63.

Dobreci started his diplomatic career in 1979 and has worked in several regions in the Middle East.

In recent years, Dobreci was Romania's envoy to Riad (1997-2000), Ambassador to Damascus (2000-2005) and served as Ambassador to Saudi Arabia since 2006.
